The AREAS project invests in the development of hardware and

software embedded in mechatronic systems with machine learning

algorithms that optimize motor efficiencies.

We modify the power electronics controlling permanent magnet

synchronous motors (PMSM) and BLDC motors to achieve the

highest torque-to-current efficiencies possible.

Our vision for the future of ultra-high efficiency IE5+ motors

builds on an energy audit system providing data analysis with a

cost-effective, easily installed monitoring modules for industrial

motors.
